WHY WE MADE “FOLLOW ME” ?

With improvement in the hardware and the growth of the market for condominiums and town homes, there has been a resurgence of interest in space-saving features. The traditional sliding gate need enough room of completely clear back space for the gate leaf to slide into. The Cantilever Telescopic Gates are used when there is no room for the traditional sliding or a swing gate or for architectural effect. According to building experts, the cantilever telescopic gates are considered as “one of the top ten most overlooked items when many architects and builders plan a home“.

HOW “FOLLOW ME” WORKS ?

FOLLOW ME SET – Pocket Gate Hardware is a telescopic cantilever sliding gate hardware that disappears, when fully open, into a compartment in the adjacent fence. The telescopic cantilever hardware split the gate into overlapping sections that slide closed alongside the other section. FOLLOW ME SET travel on flying carriages suspended from a cantilever track feature a dedicated twinned track. FOLLOW ME SET is driven by a standard sliding gate opener (not included) and a series of cables controls the opening and closing of the second leaf. As FOLLOW ME SET is a trackless cantilever system, it will not require any track laid in driveway entrance.

Installing a telescopic pocket cantilever gate rather than a traditional cantilever sliding gate, can solve the problem of backspace, by reducing the necessary space up to 36%. A telescopic cantilever variation called an “cantilever pocket gate” may be used where standard cantilever or swing gate installation is impractical; this version is recommended for homes with a problems of backspace, due to the minor backspace needed for opening.  This is ideal for properties with short driveways as it only needs minimal space for the gate to fully open.

FOLLOW ME is a High-speed telescopic gate hardware that doubles the speed of opening and closing if compared to standard cantilever or traditional sliding gate system, by using an integrated system of special flying carriages + dedicated twinned tracks, and a series of cables that controls the opening and closing of the second leaf.
As the back gate opens the wire rope pulls the front gate panel along by twice as much as the back so it travels at double the speed and goes twice as far ending up directly in front of the back gate when open. The same occurs with the second half of the wire rope when closing.

BI-PARTING TELESCOPIC
CANTILEVER HARDWARE

If your client have some side room on both sides of driveway, but not enough for a traditional cantilever sliding gate, then two telescopic cantilever gates could go side by side that open in different directions, commonly known as Bi-parting Telescopic Cantilever  Gates.

Installing a Bi-parting Telescopic Cantilever Gate is the same as two single piece sliding gates but you have the keeper on one telescopic cantilever gate, instead of a post.
