Which barrier kit suits your entrance?

Measure the clear lane opening and think about how the entrance will be used throughout the day. Then choose a barrier model and boom arrangement that suits the site. A 4 m kit and a 6 m kit are not simply the same purchase with a longer arm: the unit, boom profile and balancing parts may differ. Tell us about the opening, traffic and proposed controls if you would like help narrowing down the choices.

What is included in an automatic barrier kit?

Check the individual listing for its barrier unit, boom and any stated accessories. A photograph may show an installed example with items that are not in the box. Photocells, vehicle detection, a boom rest, skirts, lights and access controls may need to be chosen separately to suit the entrance. We can help you identify the equipment you need alongside a kit.

Do you need a full kit, a barrier unit or a replacement boom?

Choose a kit if you need the listed unit-and-boom package for a new entrance. If you already have an arm or are building your own package, look at automatic barrier units. If your existing unit works and you need to replace the arm, browse replacement barrier booms. Match the full model and boom reference rather than ordering by length alone.

How will vehicles enter and leave?

A push button, remote, intercom or vehicle detector may form part of the control arrangement, depending on your site. Tell us whether access is for staff, visitors or both, and whether you need a vehicle to trigger opening or exit. The chosen controls and safety equipment must be planned for the complete installation.

What does the kit price cover?

The product price is for the package described in that listing. Foundations, power, installation and any site-specific equipment are separate. Metalines supplies equipment and can help you choose it from your project details; we do not install barriers.

Replacing an older traffic barrier?

If you have a CAME GARD3, GARD4, GARD5, GARD6 or GARD8, or a FAAC 640, send us the full model reference and a photograph of the label. We can help you compare current barrier kits or find barrier parts for an existing installation. A current kit should be chosen for the actual lane width and duty, not just an older model name.
