The Superlock BDGSW is a high-quality, single-sided surface-fixed digital gate lock specifically designed for timber gates. It features a keypad on the outside to restrict access while allowing easy exit through a rear lever handle on the inside. The lock is equipped with an auto-latching mechanism for added security but also includes a convenient hold-back function to keep the gate unlocked when needed.

Key Features

  • Corrosion Resistant: Built to withstand the elements, with marine-grade keypads and a powder-coated die-cast casing.
  • No Power Needed: A completely mechanical keypad, so no wiring or batteries are required, allowing installation anywhere.
  • Adjustable Latchbolt: The latchbolt can be adjusted in length to ensure a precise fit on your timber gate.
  • Auto-Latching: Close the gate, and the latchbolt automatically secures it to the gate frame. To reopen, simply enter the code and turn the handle.
  • Hold-Back Function: Keep the gate unlocked when required using the hold-back switch located on the rear handle.
  • Single-Sided Keypad and Lever Handle: This lock comes with a keypad on one side and a lever handle on the other, but it is also available with keypads on both sides for added versatility.

Gate Thickness Compatibility

The BDGSW is compatible with gates of varying thicknesses. Ensure you choose the correct fixings for your gate frame based on the table below:

20mm – 45mm Standard fixings (included with the lock)
45mm – 75mm Standard screws + M5 extenders (included)
75mm – 120mm Screws from BDGWE140 kit (sold separately)
120mm – 140mm BDGWE140 screws + M5 extenders (sold separately)

For gates thinner than 30mm, the lock can still be installed without extenders. The maximum compatible gate thickness is 75mm using the included fixings.

Handing Direction

This lock is available in two configurations to suit your gate’s handing. Refer to the product images or watch our handing guide video to determine which option is right for you.

  • BDGSWL: Left-handed, keypad on one side
  • BDGSWR: Right-handed, keypad on one side
