New FDS technology (FAAC Digital Signature)
A radio protocol based on frequency modulation with optimal range and battery life performance. The radio transmission is protected by an AES-128 symmetric encryption algorithm with a 128-bit key, and the authenticity of the transmitters is verified by a FAAC certificate chain.

New design
The FDS transmitters have a distinctive design with a revised, more modern aesthetic and can be protected with optional colored cases. The design of the shape is tailored to enhance ergonomics, while the product’s finish imparts a distinctive quality.

Ever greener
 New cardboard packaging has been introduced to minimize the use of plastic packaging. Full instructions and video tutorials will only be available in digital format. Ever Easier No screwdrivers are required to open the transmitter and replace the battery.

THE FIRST EVER PHYGITAL TRANSMITTER MADE BY FAAC

The FDS range is designed to be fully integrated into the Simply Connect platform to enrich the user experience.

Protection against cloning
The radio range uses an advanced security scheme, enhanced by Secure Vault ™ (PSA ™ Level 3 certificate) and TrustZone® technologies, to provide maximum protection against cloning. The radio transmission is protected by an AES 128 symmetric encryption algorithm with a 128 bit key, and the authenticity of the transmitters is verified by a FAAC custom X.509 certificate chain.

Dual Frequency
Transmitter and receiver can communicate in dual frequency 433MHz/868MHz at the same time. Thanks to dual frequency, there is no longer the need to choose the working frequency in advance, making installation and maintenance easier for installers and improve performances.

Ever more intuitive
Registration procedures have been simplified, making it easy to add FDS transmitters, either through self learning or directly on the receiver. 

Tutorial videos
To support our installers, instructions and video tutorials can be downloaded online by scanning the QR code on the product’s safety instructions.

Compatibility with SLH coding
To use new models on existing automation with SLH coding, the FDS transmitters can be converted to SLH slave transmitters.

Bidirectionality

With BD versions, it is possible to receive feedback on the transmitter about:
• command received
• status of the automation (closed/open)

BD transmitters are equipped with a built in TAG compatible with FAAC XTR B readers.

Protective black case included as standard and other colors available (optional).

PHYGITAL EXPERIENCE

FDS and Simply Connect: a technological convergence for a unique user experience.

To add individual transmitters on Simply Connect the Matrix Code can be found on the back of the transmitter, on a label on the electronics and in the individual packaging.
Where? Everywhere you are!
 You don’t need to be on-site, you just need your own phone or tablet.
When? At any time!
The automation is not required to be online. In this case the updated list of transmitters will remain ‘pending ’ until it’s back online and subsequent confirmation by the installer or manager user.

PROTECTION AGAINST CLONING

The FDS transmitter range inherently adopts an advanced security scheme enhanced by Secure Vault™ (PSA™ Level 3 certified) and TrustZone®. The integration with Simply Connect further increases the protection against cloning thanks to the verification of the authenticity of the ID of each transmitter.

ENABLEMENT MANAGEMENT

Within the “TRANSMITTERS” menu of each smart automation you will be able to:
• Add a single transmitter or a box of transmitters
• Associate or change the user name of each. transmitter, assign operating time bands.
• Temporarily enable or disable, erase or replace a transmitter

SEARCH MANAGEMENT

Thanks to the transmitter archive, many options will be available such as search transmitter by user name or by matrix code.

TIME BANDS MANAGEMENT

For each automation, can have up to 5 time bands to be assigned to each channel of a transmitter.

RESTORE MANAGEMENT

Integration with Simply Connect guarantees an always updated list of transmitters present on each automation. No longer need to copy/download files from usb drives!


If the automation’s control board needs replacing, the record of the transmitters can be restored from an archive on Simply Connect.
