Does what it's supposed to - but how long will they last?
Feels cheap and nasty - it might look prettier than its predecessor, but it doesn't feel it. I wonder how long they will last. I had three of the old fobs that were supplied with the gate - the fist one lasted about 13 months, then next one about 18 months and the last one about 2 yrs. The cut out for attaching a split-ring is too thick - you need a screwdriver to twist the split-ring open enough to get it to work properly - plenty of scope for jabbing yourself in the hand.
On a positive note, the support tech I spoke with, with respect to syncing the new fobs with the gate was very helpful, though what he suggested, didn't work, but I admired his enthusiasm. He said I could follow the instructions that came with each new fob - press the activation button on the old fob until the LED showed it was ready to pair, then press the button to use, on the new fob - yup - no that didn't work. Had to take the control panel cover off and sync each fob in turn. . .
I ordered 12v DC and
I ordered 12v DC and 12v AC was delivered. I have since had to buy DC solenoids for this lock.
Basic handle
Not so cheap or cheerfull. Shaft too sort so my knuckles catch the door.
Not usual standard
Waited longer than usual for order to arrive & when it did it came from a company I’d not heard of & the order was wrong .But due to length of time waiting I had to remanufacture the wrong part in to the correct part myself.Very disappointed
Faac electric lock
ordered a lock got sent the wrong one. called up to get it changed and was sent out the wrong item again finally third time lucky got what we needed.
