Which BPT system is already installed?

Look for the full reference on your existing handset or monitor and, if available, the entrance panel and system documentation. A family name such as Agata, Targha, Thangram or MTM helps narrow the enquiry but does not identify every compatible component or generation.

Why isn't a similar-looking handset enough?

For example, CAME's AGT audio handsets include AGT A (840CA-0040) for X1/XIP and AGT A200 (840CA-0010) for System 200. The names are similar, but the systems differ. If you are replacing an older handset, send us its code so we can check the appropriate version.

A handset, panel module or accessory?

Tell us whether you need an answering handset, speaker module, call-button assembly, front plate, backbox, power component or desk-mount accessory. These parts do different jobs, even when they share a panel style.

What if it is an older BPT model?

Send the full marking, including any suffix, and tell us whether you are replacing a faulty part or adding a feature. We can check whether the original is available or whether a newer part suits the system you intend to keep.

What should I send for identification?

• The existing component's full reference and version marking.
• The entrance-panel reference and system name, where known.
• Photographs of accessible labels and the outside of the equipment.
• What you want to replace or add, and any existing manual or specification.

Don't guess information that is missing or open connected equipment just to obtain it. Ask a competent installer where access to wiring or internal labels is required. Metalines supplies equipment and helps specify components; we do not carry out site work or on-site repairs.
